Softball Back in Action at LMU for WCC Showdown

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball is back in action as the Broncos play a three-game West Coast Conference series at LMU this weekend. The Broncos and Lions play a doubleheader Saturday before finishing the series Sunday.

The Broncos took two of three from Pacific in the first WCC series of the year. In the decisive game three on April 11 the Broncos clubbed three home runs, including a grand slam by Gianetta France. The last time the Broncos hit three home runs in a game was exactly four years ago and they came against the same opponent. Santa Clara downed Pacific, 4-0, behind three homers in the second game of a doubleheader on April 11, 2012.
