SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Heading out on the road for the first time this season, Santa Clara softball travels to Boise State to play in the SpringHill Suites Classic beginning Friday. The Broncos play Weber State Friday at 12:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m., Boise State Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon, and CSUN Sunday at 8 a.m.
Last week they won one game in the three-day Santa Clara Invitational. They topped Illinois-Chicago 4-2 on Saturday but fell to Creighton, Weber State, and South Dakota.
Santa Clara is 0-2 all-time vs. Boise State, 0-2 all-time vs. Weber State, and 2-19 all-time vs. CSUN.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (3-8) has scored 24 runs this season with 12 doubles and 19 RBIs.
Morgan Modesto leads the Broncos with a .355 batting average and six doubles. She has scored five runs and driven in four. Ellie Fisher is 4-for-4 in stolen bases and is hitting .297. She has scored a team-high six runs. Kelsie Barnard has knocked in a team-best six runs and has added a pair of doubles.
The Broncos have a 3.55 team ERA in 75 innings. They have punched out 40.
Micaela Vierra has thrown a team-high 26 2/3 innings with two complete games. She has a team-best 20 strikeouts as well. Aubree Kim has tossed 18 1.3 innings with a complete game. She has 11 strikeouts. Returning from injury, Ciara Gonzalez has a 2.88 ERA in 17 innings. McCall James has a team-best 1.08 ERA in 13 innings.
THE BRONCOS
Boise State (11-2) is hitting .368 as a team with a .420 OBP and a .578 slugging percentage. The Broncos have scored 97 runs and surrendered 31. They have 18 home runs, one triple, and 21 doubles.
Rebeka Cervantes is hitting .500 with a team-high 18 runs scored, 17 RBIs, and six doubles. She is tied for the team-lead with four home runs. Makenzie Sullivan is also hitting .500 with four home runs. She has scored 11 runs and driven in 14. Two other Broncos are hitting over .400.
In the circle the Broncos have a 2.82 ERA in 83 innings. They have struck out 66 with 35 walks.
Christina Washington has thrown a team-best 36 innings with six complete games and two shutouts while also picking up a save. She has struck out 24 with eight walks and has a 2.00 ERA to go with a 5-1 record. Kelsey Broadus has struck out 25 in 16 2/3 innings with a 2.70 ERA.
THE WILDCATS
Weber State (5-8-1) is hitting .279 as a team with a .326 OBP and a .362 slugging percentage. The Wildcats have scored 55 runs and surrendered 81. They have three home runs, two triples, and 19 doubles.
Landi Hawker leads the team with a .452 batting average and has scored seven runs. Takesha Saltern has a team-high nine runs scored and has added two RBIs and a triple. Sara Hingsberer leads Weber State with 11 RBIs and has one home run and four doubles. She is hitting .385.
The Wildcats have a 5.50 team ERA in 90 1/3 innings. They have struck out 37 and walked 34.

Daphne Pofek leads the team with 35 innings pitched and has a 2.20 ERA. She is 3-2 with two complete games. Taylor Troost has tossed 27 1/3 innings with a team-best 17 strikeouts and has two complete games and two saves.
