SANTA CLARA, Calif. – After taking a week off, Santa Clara softball returns to action Tuesday against Sacramento State at 5 p.m. in the first midweek game of the year. The Broncos will then begin West Coast Conference play Saturday at Saint Mary's.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (7-23) is hitting .254 as a team with a .310 on-base percentage and a .323 slugging percentage. The Broncos have scored 95 runs with four home runs, three triples, and 36 doubles.
Ellie Fisher leads the team with a .362 batting average, 20 runs scored, and 16 steals in 18 chances. Geenamarie Bonilla is hitting .341 and is tied for the team-lead with 16 RBIs while hitting a team-best 10 doubles and two home runs. She has scored 11 runs as well. Kelsie Barnard also has 16 RBIs and is batting .309.
Micaela Vierra has thrown a team-high 58 2/3 innings with three wins. Aubree Kim has pitched in a team-leading 20 games and has a team-best three complete games. She has fanned 34 to lead the team and has tossed 57 2/3 innings.
THE HORNETS
Sacramento State (12-17-1) is hitting .248 as a team with a .320 OBP and .375 slugging percentage. The Hornets have scored 114 runs with 24 home runs four triples, and two doubles.
Zamari Hinton leads the team with a .352 batting average. Suzy Brookshire is tops on the team with 27 runs scored and eight home runs She is batting .348 with 22 RBIs. Mo Spieth has a team-best 29 RBIs to go with five home runs and nine runs scored. She is hitting .274.
Sacramento State has a 3.05 team ERA in 209 innings. Danielle Sperry leads the team in ERA with a 2.79 mark. In 57 2/3 innings she has 25 strikeouts and three saves. Taylor Tessier has tossed a team-high 71 1/3 innings with 69 strikeouts in 15 starts. She has two complete games and one shutout with a 2.94 ERA.

Parking: For weekday games, the Leavey Center lot, located on Accolti Way off El Camino Real, is free beginning one hour prior to first pitch. Any other parking facility on campus will be subject to normal daily rates or restrictions, including the main structure, located on Palm Drive. During the weekend, campus parking facilities are free (except for permit required locations). Due to CIF basketball and other on campus events, the Leavey Lot may be full Saturday.
