Fisher Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara softball junior centerfielder Ellie Fisher was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Fisher had a big week for the Broncos as she helped them take two of three from Saint Mary's and go 3-1 overall after a win against Sacramento State during a midweek game.

Fisher hit .583 with a .643 on-base percentage and a .833 slugging percentage. She picked up seven hits, including a triple and a double while walking once and getting hit by a pitch. She scored six runs and was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases.

Santa Clara has a busy week ahead. The Broncos play at Cal Wednesday at 4 p.m. and return home to face Fresno State Thursday at 5 p.m. They continue conference action Friday and Saturday against Loyola Marymount.
