SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara softball heads to San Diego Saturday and Sunday in the final road games of the year for the Broncos. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon and conclude the series Sunday at noon.
On Tuesday, Santa Clara went to Stanford and lost a close game after jumping out to an early lead.

THE BRONCOS

Micaela Vierra leads Santa Clara in wins (5), ERA (3.76), and innings pitched (80). Aubree Kim has a team-high 24 appearances, 14 starts, four complete games, and 46 strikeouts over 76 1/3 innings. Ciara Gonzalez has saved three games.
THE TOREROS
San Diego (18-17, 4-2 WCC) is hitting .286 as a team with a .358 OBP and a .391 slugging percentage. The Toreros have scored 152 runs with 44 doubles, four triples, and 16 home runs.
Taylor Spence leads the team with a .417 batting average and 27 runs scored. Olivia Sandusky's 29 RBIs are tops on the team as are her six home runs. She has scored 22 runs while hitting .292. Sara Silveyra is hitting .330 with 17 runs scored and 18 RBIs.
Megan Sabbatini has tossed a team-high 105 1/3 innings with a 3.99 ERA and an 8-9 record. She has six complete games and three shutouts while fanning 81. Lauren Berriatua has appeared in a team-leading 26 and thrown 72 2/3 innings with a 5.11 ERA. Delaney Heller's 3.89 ERA leads San Diego. She has appeared in 19 games and pitched 63 innings.
