SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Senior outfielder Ellie Fisher was named to the All-WCC Preseason team, as announced by the league on Wednesday.
Fisher was named First Team All-WCC as a junior after finishing fourth in the conference with a .376 batting average while starting all 49 of Santa Clara's games. Her 64 hits led the league, as did her 23 stolen bases.
Fisher was a Second Team All-WCC pick as a freshman when she started all 50 games and led the Broncos in batting average (.342), walks (31), runs scored (27), and steals (22).
Santa Clara opens the season Friday, Feb. 9 against UC Santa Barbara at the Capital City Kickoff in Sacramento. It is the first year under new head coach Lisa Dodd.
