SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Heading on the road for the final time during conference play, Santa Clara softball plays at Pacific this weekend. The two teams play a doubleheader beginning at noon Saturday and one more time Sunday, also at noon.
Last week, the Broncos were swept at first place LMU.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (6-33, 1-8) is led on offense by Hannah Russell's .303 batting average. Russell had hit three doubles while driving in 15 runs and scoring five. Eleni Spirakis also has 15 RBIs and has scored 13 runs with six doubles while batting .259. Taylor Burns leads the team with 18 RBIs and Ellie Fisher leads with 19 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.
Aubree Kim leads Santa Clara in appearances (29), starts (20), complete games (8), innings (116), and strikeouts (66). Micaela Vierra has appeared in 21 games and made 12 starts with four complete games and a shutout. She has tossed 71 innings on the year.
THE TIGERS
Pacific (16-25, 5-4) is hitting .265 as a team and has scored 151 runs. The Tigers have won four in a row after taking a midweek game at Stanford and sweeping San Diego at home.
Samantha Owen leads the team with a .362 batting average and has six home runs to go with 29 RBIs and 22 runs scored. Sydney Lahners is hitting .348 with a team-leading nine home runs and 35 RBIs and Talli Sheperd has scored a team-high 28 runs.
Four pitchers have thrown at least 57 innings with Megan Walters' 3.03 ERA the team's best mark in 57 2/3 innings in 22 appearances. Hailey Reed has thrown a team-leading 64 1/3 innings and Bethany Hammer has the most strikeouts with 52 in 57 innings. Marissa young has tossed 63 2/3 innings as well.
