SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Hannah Russell was named Preseason All-West Coast Conference, determined by a poll of the league's head coaches.
The senior catcher was named to the preseason team a year ago and was First Team All-WCC in 2018 and 2019.
During her junior campaign, Russell hit .320 with a team leading 26 RBIs and scored 11 runs to go along with nine doubles. During WCC play, she batted .404 with eight runs scored and five RBIs.
The Broncos season begins Friday, Feb. 7 against Boise State at the NorCal Kickoff in Davis, Calif. It is the first year under new head coach Gina Carbonatto.
