Steve Harrington

Steve Harrington is in his first year as an assistation coach with Santa Clara softball.

Harrington spent the last two seasons at La Habra High School. While there the team went 50-10 overall and 19-1 in the Freeway League en route to winning consecutive outright league titles. In 2017, the team moved to Division I and went to the second round in CIF postseason play. It was the first sport in the history of La Habra to compete in Division I. All 22 seniors over his two years went on the play at the collegiate level. 

In 2010, Harrington earned the NFCA National Travel Ball Coaching Staff of the Year Award with the Orange County Batbusters. The award covers all travel ball teams across the United States. The Batbusters captured the ASA National Title and PGF National Title at the U16 level.

Harrington has coached at Chaminade College Prep, El Modena, and La Habra at the high school level and raised each to national prominence while winning three CIF titles. He has also won six national titles with the Batbusters, Team Mizuno, and the Southern California Stealth.

He received his B.A. in Clinical Psychology from CSUN in 1994 and got his M.S. in School Counseling in 2003, also from CSUN.
