Gabby Maurice is in her second year as an assistation coach with Santa Clara softball in 2019.
Maurice graduated from UCLA in 2017 with a B.A. in Political Science and was a four-year letter winner on the softball team as an outfielder. She was named NFCA West All-Region Second Team and All-Pac-12 Second Team as a sophomore and was on the All-Pac-12 Freshman Team in 2014.
Maurice hit .297 as a Bruin with 26 home runs and 119 RBIs. She set career-highs in both categories as a sophomore when she also posted a .496 on-base percentage and a .635 slugging percentage.
She has been a member of the Philippine Women’s National Team since 2016 through dual citizenship.
Maurice also worked as an instructor at UCLA softball camps and as an intern in the UCLA Sports Information Department.
Her boyfriend Eddie Vanderdoes is a defensive tackle on the Oakland Raiders.
