HONOLULU - Santa Clara University women's tennis team member Janalle Kaloi was named a recipient of the U.S. Tennis Association/Hawaii Pacific Section Jim Howe Sportsmanship Girl of the Year Award.
Kaloi, a freshman on the squad this season, was presented the annual honor for her athletic ability as a junior with the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section coupled with fine citizenship off the court.
She will be honored at the organization's Annual Tennis Weekend Dinner Banquet at the Turtle Bay Resort on October 27.
Santa Clara will continue fall play at Saint Mary's next month. The tournament will take place in Moraga October 19-21.
