SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The 73rd-ranked Santa Clara University women's tennis team returned to the courts after a two-week break and defeated UC Riverside 5-2 this afternoon in Santa Barbara. The Broncos' record improves to 3-1, and the Highlanders fall to 2-2.
"We're coming off a long layoff, so it wasn't a pretty match, but credit to the team for working hard to earn the victory," head coach Damon Coupe said.
Santa Clara remains on the road and plays at UC Santa Barbara on Sunday at 11 a.m.
