SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara University women's tennis closed the regular season with its 14th victory of the season, a 7-0 win over UC Santa Cruz this evening at the Degheri Tennis Center. Santa Clara is now 14-6 overall, while the Banana Slugs, ranked fifth in the Division III West Region, fall to 8-8.

"I'm pretty pleased with how we played, although we could have been more disciplined mentally," head coach Damon Coupe said. "It's great to have another victory under our belt going into conference."

The Broncos now head to the West Coast Conference Championship, hosted at the University of San Diego this Friday through Sunday.
