PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Santa Clara University women's tennis senior Janalle Kaloi advanced to the third round of the 2004 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Pre-Qualifying Championships. Matches took place at UCLA and at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades.
Kaloi defeated Maria Husain of Penn State 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 in the second round earlier this morning. She fell in her afternoon match in straight sets to Caitlin Burke of Wisconsin to close out participation in the event.
As a team, Santa Clara will continue its fall season in two weeks, taking part in the Saint Mary's Invitational, hosted by the Gaels in Moraga.
