Strunk Advances to Semis at SMC Invite

MORAGA, Calif. - Santa Clara University women's tennis junior Jessie Strunk advanced to the semifinals of the Saint Mary's Invitational, hosted by the Gaels in Moraga. Strunk fell to San Jose State's Ashley Tavita 7-6, 6-1 to close out the Broncos' weekend.

In other singles action, freshmen Myra Davoudi and Flavia Miracle played in the quarterfinal rounds today, while Davoudi paired with Strunk in doubles to also advance to the quarterfinal round.

The Broncos return to action next weekend to participate at the ITA Regional, hosted by Stanford at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
