Oct. 23, 2004

STANFORD, Calif. - The Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional Championships had a shorter day than expected at Stanford's Taube Tennis Stadium, as rain forced play to be suspended earlier today.

Sunday matches will begin at 9 a.m. with main draw doubles quarterfinals, as well as the consolation matches that were already on court today. Remaining consolation matches which were not on court will not play before 9:45 a.m.

Santa Clara fell out of the main draw with senior Janalle Kaloi's loss to third-seeded Dea Sumantri of Washington.

The singles finalists and doubles champion from this event will earn spots in the November 4-7 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at the University of Michigan.
