Broncos Conclude Play At Saint Mary's Invitational

Moraga, Calif. - Senior captain Casey Knutson came back from a loss in the first round to win the consolation bracket at the Saint Mary's Invitational as the Broncos concluded three successful days in Moraga. Lindsay McBride fell in the Flight "B" final after a stirring run through the bracket over the weekend. Overall, the Broncos posted their best showing of the fall season.

Knutson lost a first round match on Friday but showed her determination as she recovered to earn a spot in the final today. In the final, Knutson dominated, beating Nevada's Horino Masako 6-0; 6-1.

In the main draw, McBride, who won two singles matches and a doubles match on Saturday, could not beat Nevada's Li-houng Dinh in the final. Dinh, who previously knocked off Knutson and Myra Davoudi this weekend, captured the Flight "B" title 6-2; 6-0.

In doubles, Davoudi and McBride fell 8-3 to Audrey Bardot and Bach-Lan Pham of Nevada in the semifinals.
