Bronco Women's Tennis Team Heads Back to Berkeley For ITA Regionals

Santa Clara, Calif. - Coming off a strong showing at the Saint Mary's Invitational, the Santa Clara women's tennis team heads to Berkeley for the ITA Regionals this weekend. Five players will begin play tomorrow at the Regionals, while Lindsay McBride withdrew at the last minute due to injury.

In singles play, Kim Daniel starts play at 11:00 a.m. on Friday in the Round of 128 in the top quarter of the draw. Paired in the draw below Daniel are Myra Davoudi (11:00 a.m. start) and Meghan Madden (12:15), who will both play in the Round of 128. Erika Barnes has received a bye and will begin play at 2:45 p.m. in the Round of 64. In the bottom quarter of the draw, captain Casey Knutson will start play at 1:30 p.m.

The Broncos will send two doubles teams to the Regionals. Knutson and Barnes will team up in the top half of the draw, beginning play at 8:30 a.m., while in the bottom half Daniel and Davoudi will look to move on to the Round of 32. They will also start at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
