Broncos Set Commissioner's Honor Roll Record for Second Straight YearJuly 23, 2014The West Coast Conference announced its 13th annual Commissioner's Honor Roll Tuesday, and 141 Santa Clara Broncos were recognized with honors for their athletic success and academic excellence. Santa Clara had 18 student-athletes receive gold honors (3.75-4.00 GPA) and 33 student-athletes receive silver honors (3.50-3.74 GPA). The Broncos set a new record of student athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, breaking the previous mark of 133 in the 2012-13 school year.

Six Santa Clara Teams Recipients of NCAA Public Recognition Awards For Academic AchievementMay 16, 2014Continuing its hard work in the classroom, Santa Clara's men’s outdoor track, women’s golf, women’s rowing, women’s tennis, women’s outdoor track, and women’s water polo teams were all recognized by the NCAA as recipients of the organization's Public Recognition Awards for academic achievement. The NCAA released the APR recognition by highlighting teams that demonstrated a commitment to academic progress and retention of student-athletes by achieving the top APR scores within their respective sports. Specifically, these six teams posted multi-year APRs in the top 10 percent of all squads in each sport. Also, men’s basketball recorded the highest four-year average APR for the West Coast Conference.

Four Women's Tennis Players Honored for WCC All-Academic TeamMay 01, 2014he West Coast Conference announced the 2013-14 Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team on Thurs., May 1. Bronco senior Katie Le headlines the list with her third straight appearance positing a 3.80 grade point average (GPA) as a Computer Engineering major. In addition, sophomore Delphine Rouvillois made the All-Academic Team for the first time while sophomore Chelby Cooke and senior Stephanie Skaras received honorable mentions for their academic achievements.

Women's Tennis Falls to No. 1 Pepperdine in WCC Championship Semi-FinalsApril 25, 2014After an exhilarating 4-3 quarterfinal win over No. 5 San Diego on Thursday, the No. 4 seeded Santa Clara women’s tennis team fell to No. 1 Pepperdine 4-0 in the semi-final match of the 2014 West Coast Conference Championships on Friday. The Broncos finished fourth in the WCC standings after reaching the semifinals of the Championships for the fifth straight year.

Bronco Student-Athletes Top 3.0 GPA for 21st Time in 22 QuartersApril 14, 2014With 11 Bronco student-athletes achieving a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) and 16 of the 19 Bronco teams scoring a 3.0 term GPA or higher, Santa Clara University's student-athletes recorded a 3.138 grade point average (GPA) for the Winter 2014 quarter. They also topped 3.0 or better for the 21st time in 22 quarters. Santa Clara's cumulative GPA of 3.080 continues to climb for its student-athletes as well.

Women's Tennis Clinches Senior Day VictoryApril 13, 2014After a convincing 6-1 win over Portland on April 12, the Santa Clara women’s tennis team battled to a 4-3 Senior Day victory against Gonzaga to go 2-0 this weekend. Seniors Katie Le and Stephanie Skaras tallied the two decisive singles wins that put the Broncos on top of the Bulldogs in the team’s last home contest.

Women's Tennis Hosts Final Two Home Matches this WeekendApril 10, 2014The Santa Clara women’s tennis team looks to pick up its final two victories at home this season when they host Portland on Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m. and Gonzaga on Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. This weekend is full of events in the Degheri Tennis Center with the first-ever women’s tennis Alumnae Day on Saturday and Senior Day on Sunday.

2nd Annual Santa Clara University Tennis Yam CupApril 09, 2014The Santa Clara University men's and women's tennis teams will host its 2nd Annual SCU Tennis Yam Cup, a rare opportunity to play with the student-athletes and support both programs. No. 72 Women's Tennis Suffers First WCC Loss to No. 36 Pepperdine; Prepares for San Diego MondayMarch 23, 2014After finishing up winter quarter with a week of finals, the No. 72 Santa Clara women’s tennis team returned to the Degheri Tennis Center to take on West Coast Conference opponent No. 36 Pepperdine on Saturday. In a thrilling match, No. 28 Katie Le upset No. 19 Lorraine Guillermo on court one 7-5, 6-4, but the Broncos could not take home the team victory, falling 4-2 to a solid Waves squad.
