SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's tennis team is back on the home court on Fri., Mar. 27 to host the visiting Montana Grizzlies.

Santa Clara moved to 4-7 overall after getting its first West Coast Conference win on Sunday.  The Broncos are 2-1 in their last three matches, coming into the finale of their current four-match homestand that stretches back to Mar. 14.  Santa Clara defeated UC Davis on Mar. 14, was beaten by Brigham Young on Mar. 21 and stood tall over the San Diego Toreros on Mar. 22.

"We have a couple days and we're going to come in prepared against Montana," said Bronco head coach Ben Cabell.  And in regards to following up the victory over San Diego, "We're looking to get another good win."

The Grizzlies are 5-6 overall.  Montana is part of the Big Sky Conference and has so far tallied wins over Portland State, North Dakota, Northern Colorado and Southern Utah for a perfect 4-0 record in conference.  The team brings a 3-5 record in away matches to the Mission campus, where Santa Clara is 4-4.

"They aren't in our conference and aren't they aren't from the Bay Area so we don't know much about them, but we know they're going to be a tough team," Cabell added.

This matchup marks Santa Clara's final non-conference showdown.  After this match, a slate of six WCC opponents stand between the Broncos and the West Coast Conference Championships that kick off on Apr. 22.
