Women’s Tennis’ Clarke Named WCC Singles Player of the Week

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Sophomore Madison Clarke was named West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Clarke played her first-career match on court one for Santa Clara against Illinois State and earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Marcia Tere-Apisah. The Broncos went on to win the match by a score of 4-0. Clarke is now 7-1 in dual match play this season and has won eight of her last nine matches dating back to the fall.

The Broncos begin West Coast Conference action next weekend with a match at Portland on March 25 at 10 a.m. PT followed by a match at Gonzaga on March 26 at 11 a.m.
