SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis was recognized by the West Coast Conference on Tuesday when junior Madison Clarke and sophomore Maddie Pothoff were named the WCC Women's Doubles Team of the Week.

Playing on court No. 1, the duo won its conference opener against San Diego's Nicole Anderson and Daniel Morales, 6-2.

Clarke and Pothoff are 5-5 overall on the year and 2-0 in dual matches.

It is the first such honor for the pair and the second for Clarke, winning the honor along with Daniella Silva last year.

The Broncos will be in action at Degheri Tennis Center on Friday at 11 a.m. PT against Nevada.
