Women’s Tennis Hosts Uptown Rival San Francisco on Saturday
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis hosts uptown rival San Francisco on Saturday at 11 a.m. PT in the only match of the weekend after playing a midweek match.

Santa Clara (7-10, 2-4 WCC) fell to Pacific on Wednesday and is in a seventh place tie with San Diego in the West Coast Conference standings.   San Francisco (3-14, 1-5 WCC) sits in ninth place with the top six teams qualifying for the conference tournament.

"It's a big match for us.  USF is a dangerous team even though they haven't won a lot," said Broncos head coach Ben Cabell.  "We feel good that the match is at home.  We've had a much better home record than on the road so that will help us."

The Broncos are 4-2 at home and 3-8 on the road with its last three matches, including the one against USF, at home.

"The goal is to build the momentum in these last three home conference matches starting with this weekend," said Cabell.
