Women’s Tennis Earn Five More Wins on Second Day of CSUF Titan Invitational
 
FULLERTON, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis picked up five more wins in the second day of competition at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational on Saturday, Maddie Pothoff picking up two of those wins in both doubles and singles.  
 
Broncos head coach Ben Cabell mixed up the doubles pairings from the previous day and paired Pothoff with Elvena Gevargiz, who went on to defeat Denver's Bianca Mok and Camille Verden-Andersen, 6-4, to give the Broncos its lone doubles win of the day.  
 
For Gevargiz, it was her second doubles win of the tournament after winning Friday's match while teaming up with Caitlyn Frankel.  
 
In singles action, playing against host, Cal State Fullerton, Pothoff needed three sets to take down Caisey Lee Emery, 4-6, 6-0, 6-1, on court one.  The Broncos also got wins from Jamie Schroer, Katya Tabachnik and Lindsey Pesqueira.  
 
Playing on court three, Schroer beat Luxizi Meng, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, for her second singles win of the tournament.  Tabachnik took care of Jadie Acidera, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3, on court four.  In an extra singles match, Pesqueira followed Friday's win with another, defeating Taylor Valenzuela, 6-0, 6-1.
