Women’s Tennis Kicks Off Dual Match Season Hosting Dominican on Saturday
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Coming off its spring season opener at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational last weekend, the Santa Clara women's tennis kicks off its dual match season on Saturday against Dominican University.  The first serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.

The Broncos collected 13 doubles and singles wins over the three-day hidden dual format CSUF Titan Invitational.

"Overall, I was happy with our first competition of the spring.  We won the doubles point on two out of the three days, and also won four of the seven singles matches in two of the days," said Broncos head coach Ben Cabell.   "I really liked starting the spring season with the tournament because it allows us to get in a couple of matches without having to worry about the team results."

The team results will start counting beginning on Saturday when Santa Clara hosts Dominican at Degheri Tennis Center.

The home opener will also feature the debut of a newly installed live streaming system.  For every home match, viewers can go to this link (https://www.santaclarabroncos.com/livetennis) and follow the live action on each of the six courts.

"We are super excited to have this live streaming system setup for both the women's and men's tennis programs.  It will really help us with player development as we will be able to video record and analyze our practices and matches.  And we will also be able to broadcast our matches live which is a game changer.  We have international players and players across the country so their families and friends as well as alumni and fans of the programs will be able to track our play from anywhere in the world," said Cabell.
