Women’s Tennis Shut Out by Saint Mary’s, 4-0
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Saint Mary's won its fourth consecutive match in a 4-0 shutout over Santa Clara women's tennis on Sunday in a conference matchup.  
 
Clementine Clement led the way for the Gaels (5-7, 2-0 WCC) teaming together with Chloe Goyette at No. 2 doubles to earn the first win of the day and then clinching the match with a straight-set win on singles court three.  
 
Clement and Goyette set the tone early with a 6-2 win over Katya Tabachnik and Caitlyn Frankel.  Jordan Harris and Danielle McIntyre clinched the doubles point at court three taking down Jamie Schroer and Nadine Del Carmen, 6-3.  
 
In singles action, Mariia Kozyreva rolled past No. 86 Maddie Pothoff, 6-1, 6-1 on court one to put the Gaels up 2-0.
 
Hind Abdelouahid took care of Katya Tabachnik 6-1, 6-2 for the third point for Saint Mary's before Clement's match clincher over Jamie Schroer, 6-3, 6-3.

Santa Clara (3-8, 0-4) travels to Hawaii to play a pair of midweek matches against Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday and the University of Hawaii on Thursday.
