Women’s Tennis Topped By Nevada 4-2 on Sunday
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – On a windy Sunday afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center, Nevada took four of the five singles matches to beat Santa Clara women's tennis 4-2 in a nonconference tilt.  
 
The match clincher came on court three when Roos van Reek needed three sets to down Jamie Schroer 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.  
 
Santa Clara (0-2) got on the scoreboard first when Maddie Pothoff and Katya Tabachnik clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win over Liza Mintusova and Anastasia Luneva on court one, to put the Broncos up 1-0.  The doubles point clincher was preceded by Madison Clarke and Schroer's 6-1 victory over Ksenia Shikanova and Selina Turulja on court three.  
 
The Wolf Pack (3-2) claimed the first two singles matches to go ahead 2-1 when Turulja topped Caitlyn Frankel 6-1, 6-3 followed by Shakanova's win over Elvena Gevargiz 6-4, 6-3 on court two.  
 
Pothoff evened things at 2-all on court one beating Luneva 6-3, 6-2 before Mintusova put Nevada ahead for good with her 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) triumph over Katya Tabachnik to give Nevada a 3-2 lead.

The Broncos travel to UC Davis on Saturday.  First serve is at noon.
