No. 24 Broncos to Host Fourth-Ranked Stanford Tuesday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The 24th-ranked Santa Clara University volleyball team will be looking to knock-off its second nationally-ranked opponent of the season Tuesday at 7 p.m. when it hosts fourth-ranked Stanford in the Leavey Center.

The Broncos are 8-4 on the season and 1-1 in the West Coast Conference after splitting its two matches on the road last weekend. The Broncos were upset at San Diego on Friday before rebounding for a 3-0 sweep at Saint Mary's College on Saturday. Stanford is 9-1 on the season but has split its last two matches, losing a 3-1 decision at Long Beach State and defeating Cal 3-0. The Cardinal is a perfect 3-0 in Pacific-10 Conference matches.

Santa Clara is led by freshman Toni Muratore's 3.80 kills per game with senior Jami Bari following close behind with a 3.70 average. The Broncos are the WCC leader in assists, averaging 14.95 per game and are the league top-digging squad with an average of 18.81 per game. In the win at Saint Mary's, the Broncos recorded 12 service aces.
