Potter Named WCC Volleyball Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Sophomore outside hitter Becky Potter was named the West Coast Conference's Volleyball Player of the Week for her play against fourth-ranked Stanford and two league opponents, Gonzaga and Portland, this weekend.

Potter recorded 45 kills this week, averaging five per game. In the Broncos' three matches, Potter his .323, served up five aces, and had 24 digs (2.67 per game). She also added three blocks to her weekend performance.

Against Gonzaga, Potter notched her seventh double-double of the year, totaling 17 kills and 12 digs. Against No. 4 Stanford, she led the SCU attack with 18 kills.

The 24th-ranked Broncos return to action next weekend in Southern California, facing Loyola Marymount on Friday in Los Angeles and 15th-ranked Pepperdine on Saturday in Malibu. Both contests will begin at 7 p.m. at their respective venues.
