SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara University middle blockers Becky Potter and Toni Muratore were named first-team All-West Coast Conference for volleyball, the league announced today. Additionally, outside hitter Jami Bari, setter Kelli Sousa and defensive specialist Chrissy Hirsch received honorable mention honors.

Potter, a sophomore from Clovis, and Muratore, a freshman from Merced have led Santa Clara in kills per game and total blocks and helped the Broncos secure a No. 18 national ranking at the end of the conference season. Muratore averages 3.99 kills per game while Potter is right behind her with a 3.94 average. The duo is ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, in the league. Potter earned honorable mention recognition last season as the league's Freshman of the Year.

Bari, a senior from San Juan Capistrano, earned her second straight honorable mention recognition and leads the conference in digs and service aces. Sousa, a sophomore from Castro Valley, is ranked 10th nationally in assists, averaging 13.69 per game. Hirsch, a junior from Los Altos, is the only Bronco that has seen action in every game for the last two seasons.

Pepperdine's Katie Wilkins was named the WCC Player of the Year, while her teammate Melissa Snow was named the league's Defender of the Year. Wave coach Nina Matthies took Coach of the Year honors while San Diego's Devon Forstrer was named the conference's Freshman of the Year.

The Broncos will wrap-up their regular season on Friday, November 23 when they take on the University of Idaho in the Leavey Center at 7 p.m. Santa Clara will then await their postseason fate when the NCAA announces the postseason selections on Monday, November 26.
