Bronco Volleyball Signs Two State Players to NLIs

Nov. 23, 2004

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara University head volleyball head coach Jon Wallace has signed two outside hitters to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period that began November 10. The sixth-year head coach has secured the services of Brittany Lowe of Yorba Linda and Nichole Clark of San Jose, both of whom will join the Bronco program next fall.

"I am really excited to have both Brittany and Nichole join our program," Wallace said. "Both are very experienced volleyball players who compete very hard and at a very high level. Brittany and Nichole will complement our 2003 class' strengths and weaknesses very well. I can see both ladies on the court in 2005 and adding to our program's success."

Lowe is a 6-0 outside hitter from Esperanza High School, where she led the squad to the CIF Championship last season. A first-team CIF and Sunset League player, the team captain has also led her prep squad to two conference co-championships. Lowe also plays for the Goldenwest Volleyball Club under Craig Pazanti, where the team earned a bronze medal at the Junior Olympics 18 Open division.

Clark is also an outside hitter, from Saint Francis High School, where she is coached by Kim Oden. The Lancers won the CIF and CCS Championship in both 2002 and '03. Clark also plays for City Beach Volleyball Club, where the squad won a silver medal earlier this year at the Junior Olympics 17 Open division.

Santa Clara will visit seventh-ranked Stanford tonight to close out the regular season. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Burnham Pavilion in Palo Alto.
