Volleyball Adds Missouri Transfer Brynn Paumen

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara volleyball bolsters its roster for the 2020 season with the addition of Brynn Paumen. The middle blocker joins the Broncos as a transfer from Missouri and is originally from Maple Lake, Minnesota.

Paumen played in four matches for the Tigers as a freshman in 2018 before redshirting in 2019.

In high school, Paumen earned 2017 Class AA Minnesota First Team All-State honors as a senior at Maple Lake. She helped the Irish win back-to-back Class 2A State Championships in her final two seasons with the program, including a perfect 36-0 mark in 2017 and a 44-match unbeaten streak between the two campaigns.

Additional highlights include:

  • PrepVolleyball's Class of 2018 "Top 150 Aces" list
  • 2016 Class AA Minnesota Second-Team All-Conference
  • 2016 Class AA Minnesota State Girls' Volleyball All-Tournament Team
  • Set Maple Lake's single-season total blocks record as a senior in 2017

Paumen joins the Broncos alongside freshmen Sophia Tulino, Lexi Poppinga, Nani Spaar and Kat Georgiadis.
