Volleyball Junior Earns All-Pacific North Region Recognition

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Santa Clara volleyball's Julia Sangiacomo earned honorable mention AVCA All-Pacific North Region.

A two-time first team All-West Coast Conference choice, Sangiacomo was the only league student-athlete among the 21 to earn All-Pacific North recognition.

The junior, a 2020 all-region selection, ranks fourth in the conference in both kills (3.74) and points (4.27) per set.

Sangiacomo had double-digit kills in all but four of the team's 27 matches on the season, ending with 374. She also tallied 31 service aces and 221 digs.

Her selection marks the 17th all-region/all-district nod for the Broncos in program history, joining Taylor Odom (2019), Nikki Hess (2015), Danielle Rottman (2015), Kirsten Mead (2015), Anna Cmaylo (2005, 2006, 2008), Crystal Matich (2005), Cassie Perret (2005), Becky Potter (2002, 2003), Ynez Carrasco (2000), Laura Echolds (1998) and Jamie Elson (1996).
