Jesse Ebner is in her first season as Santa Clara volleyball’s director of operations. Ebner’s primary responsibilities with the Broncos include travel arrangements, managing schedules and assisting visiting teams, among other tasks. She works with various units within the athletic department that support the volleyball program.
Ebner, a native of Portola Valley, California, was a four-year starter for Yale University volleyball from 2012-15. The middle blocker helped the Bulldogs to a 71-28 overall record, a 48-8 mark in conference play and three Ivy League championships. Ebner, who earned Team MVP honors in her senior season, ranks fourth all-time at Yale with a .316 hitting percentage on 996 attack attempts. She graduated in 2016 with bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science.
Her professional experience includes time as an assistant coach with 16s Gold at Vision Volleyball Club. Ebner has also coached in summer camps at SCU and Stanford University.
“Having grown up in the Bay Area, I hold a deep respect for Coach Wallace and the program that he has developed over the years,” Ebner said upon her hiring. “In addition to the success that SCU volleyball has enjoyed, I have always admired the positive culture of the program and the evident effort to facilitate the growth of young women not only as athletes, but also as well-rounded students and people.”
