Julia Peters Named GCC Co-Player of the Week

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- Julia Peters of the No. 19 Broncos women's water polo team has been named Golden Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week. Lead by Peters, the Broncos went 3-0 this past weekend, including two conference wins over Fresno Pacific and the University of the Pacific.

"Our team had a great weekend going 3-0, and Julia was a big part of that," said Bronco head coach Keith Wilbur.  "She came back from an injury two weeks ago, and she is already playing at a very high level.  She played great in all the three games, and in our conference match up against UoP, she was outstanding."

Peters had 13 goals over the weekend, including seven against GCC foe Pacific. Peters also tallied three steals and two field blocks, including one big field block against Cal State East Bay during their 6-on-5 in the fourth quarter that allowed the Broncos to keep the lead and win the game.

The Broncos are set to play conference rival No. 20 San Diego State at the Sullivan Aquatic Center on Fri. April 11 at 3pm. Be sure to come out and support your Broncos!
