No. 20 Women's Water Polo Faces Conference Match-Up Against No. 18 Pacific

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 20 women's water polo team will begin their final stretch of the regular season, competing in only conference match-ups. On March 28, the Broncos are set to play Bay Area rival, the No.18 Pacific Tigers at 12 pm in their home pool. This will be the second time this season the two teams have matched up.

Pacific is also the host for the Golden Coast Conference Championship this season. The tournament will begin on April 23, with the final on April 25.

On March 8 the Broncos and the Tigers battled it out at the Aggie Shootout held by UC Davis. The game tied up four different times, but the Tigers managed to keep the Broncos to one goal in the fourth quarter, outscoring them 2-1 and finished with the 8-5 win.

Senior Taylor Adair scored three goals in that game and season leading goal scorer for the Tigers Anna Kertes scored two goals. For the Broncos, redshirt-junior Julia Peters scored three goals for the Broncos.

The Tigers are 10-9 on the season and are currently on a four game winning streak including their first conference win of the season over Azusa Pacific. The Tigers are 1-1 in conference play, falling to then No. 12 San Diego State 9-6. The Aztecs lead the conference, going 3-0.

Coming off a tough home loss, the Broncos look to turn their luck around and finish out this final leg of season strong. Peters leads the Broncos with 40 goals scored. Junior Elle Surber follows close behind with 31 goals, 29 assists and 33 steals.
