A fourth-year two-meter defender who has started in 84 of 117 career games played for the Broncos. In the Santa Clara record books, Elle holds the record for most career goals (181) and ranks fifth in assists (100), second in steals (135), and fifth in earned ejections (117).

AS A SENIOR IN 2016: Recognized as "Superior" on the ACWPC All-Academic team ... named Second Team All-GCC … became the leading scorer in Santa Clara history with 181 goals … started 24 games for the Broncos … led the Broncos in scoring with 42 goals … second in earned ejections with 43 … led the Bronco defense with 27 steals … second in assists with 22 … had a season high six goals against Villanova (Feb. 27) … had 11 games with multiple goals.

HIGH SCHOOL: Enjoyed a terrific prep career at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, Calif. … Surber led Amador to the North Coast Section’s during all four years on the varsity team… individually made First Team All-NCS, was tabbed as an academic All-American, and received honorable mention accolades at JO’s.

PERSONAL: Born in Castro Valley, Calif. … daughter of Timothy and Lynn Surber … has a brother Kyle Surber, who plays men’s water polo at Santa Clara … enjoys narwhals, rhythmic gymnastics, donating blood, mermaids, and Harry Potter. She will be studying in the School of Arts and Science.
