Balanced Offensive Attack Leads Women's Water Polo to Win Over Redlands

REDLANDS, Calif. - Santa Clara women's water used a balanced offensive attack to claim a road victory on Saturday.

Annie Eldredge had three goals and Katie Francis, Lauren Paxton and Kendra Bean chipped in two apiece for the Broncos in a 14-6 win over Redlands (8-10).

Santa Clara (5-10) scored four times in the opening period and never looked back in snapping a four-game skid.

Emma Allegrucci had one goal, two assists and drew three kickouts for the Broncos.

Lydia Dadd picked up the win in net, posting five saves in her two periods of play. She departed at halftime with Santa Clara leading 7-2.

After going 0-for-8 with the man advantage in Friday's 8-6 loss at California Baptist, the Broncos scored on five of 11 opportunities against the Bulldogs.

The Broncos play twice at home next weekend, facing Sonoma State on Saturday and Harvard on Sunday. Both games start at noon.
