SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Lauren Voss totalted three goals, including a goal in the first minute to get the Broncos (1-1) started.
The Broncos secured an early lead over the Sunbirds (1-4) and continued to stretch their lead. The Broncos led 8-1 heading into the second half.
Elle Fredrickson, Kelly Frumkin, and Sophia Harvey each tallied two goals for the Broncos to contribute to their first win of the season.
Liyara Senadheera posted 11 saves and steal in her three quarters of action.
Mia Battilega had three assists, one steals, and a goal for the Broncos. Maddie Clough and Adelina Hernandez tallied two steals each.
