Women's Water Polo Begins Season On Saturday - Santa Clara

Set to begin year two of the Claire Linney Era, Santa Clara women's water polo begins their 2023 campaign with a quick road trip south to Monterey to take on Cal State Monterey Bay. The Broncos are coming off a seven-win season in 2022.

NOTES

Just like last year, the Broncos and Otters are set to square off twice this season. They split the games last year with SCU falling 11-8 in Monterey and winning 12-4 at home in their annual tournament.
Santa Clara will play 14 games from the comfort of home at the Sullivan Aquatic Center and will once again host a home tournament during the weekend of Feb. 18-19.
The Broncos return 16 players from last year's roster, including fifth-years Lauren Baglietto and Lauren Voss. Baglietto was honored as a second team all-conference selection at season's end last year.
A total of five newcomers joined the SCU roster in the offseason - Sophomore Stephanie Nelson and freshmen Megan Chambliss, Sydney Maccabe, Avary Torres and Mila Erceg.
