David Gentile directs all live and pre-produced video for Santa Clara athletics as the department's Digital Media Manager. He is in his seventh year and oversees media relations for volleyball, beach volleyball and men's/women's cross country/track & field.
Gentile, hired in September 2013, is the primary play-by-play broadcaster for Bronco baseball and soccer; he has also called games for SCU men's basketball and volleyball. He directs basketball games and volleyball matches for live streaming on the WCC Network, the West Coast Conference's digital media platform, in addition to serving as the video liaison between SCU and the WCC.
Gentile joined the Broncos following a 2013 broadcasting/media relations internship with Minor League Baseball's Orem Owlz. He graduated from Gonzaga University in 2012 as a double-major in Broadcast/Electronic Media and Journalism (communication studies).
