SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Santa Clara men's rowing will head to Lake Natoma for the second time in as many weeks and third time this year for Saturday's Western Sprints Regatta. The Broncos are looking to qualify for their second straight IRA National Championship Regatta, which will take place in the first week of June.

Santa Clara is slated to race against Gonzaga, Oklahoma City, San Diego and UC San Diego with automatic qualification for the IRA regatta up for grabs.

"This will be a very competitive field and we are looking to return to the East Coast to compete for the national championship again this year," head coach Jay Farwell said. "We have had a very solid season to date but all of that has been preparation for this weekend. Everything we do throughout the year is focused on the Western Sprints."
