WCC Release | Santa Clara Schedule
SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced the men's soccer schedule on Friday with league play beginning Feb. 28, 2021 after the 2020 fall season was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As has been the case since 2014, Santa Clara has a full seven match conference schedule and will host three of them at Stevens Stadium – Buck Shaw Field starting with LMU in the Feb. 28 conference opener. The Broncos will also host two-time WCC defending champions Saint Mary's on March 21, followed by Gonzaga on March 28 to close out the conference home slate.
SCU will hit the road in four games: at San Francisco on March 7, Pacific on March 14, Portland on April 3, and against San Diego in the WCC finale on April 11.
All the games are on Sunday with the exception of the Portland match which falls on a Saturday.
The nonconference games will be announced as they are finalized.
The NCAA Men's Soccer Championship will consist of a 36-team bracket this season. Selections for the tournament will occur on April 18, culminating with the Men's College Cup May 13-17. The WCC's regular-season champion will earn the conference's automatic qualification to the tournament.
