Men’s Tennis Signs Big Hitter with Extensive International Experience from France
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis signed Guillaume Dalmasso, a big hitter with extensive international experience, to a National Letter of Intent to join the program for the 2020-21 season.  Broncos head coach Niall Angus made the announcement.

"I chose Santa Clara because I felt that it offered the best combination of tennis and academics.  My interactions with the coaching staff and the team were great.  The academic reputation at Santa Clara speaks for itself with a beautiful campus and environment," said Dalmasso who hails from Aix en Provence, France.

The 6-foot-3 Dalmasso has a big serve and is an aggressive baseliner who won the tennis Europe U16 Mouratoglou in 2017, a doubles finalist in the French championship U16 in 2018 and won the French men's tournament in Rousset in 2019.  Outside of his home country, Dalmasso was a quarterfinalist at both the Liverpool ITF J4 in England and in Gladbeck ITF J2 in Germany (doubles).

"Guillaume is a really talented, athletic player with a big game.  We think he is going to make an immediate impact in singles and in doubles.  He is humble and hard working player and coached by one of the best former player in the world in Thomas Enqvist so we know he is coming from a good background as well.  I am really looking forward to working with Guillaume," said Broncos head coach Niall Angus.

Enqvist was the world's No. 4 ranked player in the ATP Rankings back in 1999, reaching the finals of the Australian Open the same year.
