AS A FRESHMAN IN 2001-02: Named the Bronco Rookie of the Year... named the Mad Dog of the Year, awarded to the player who comes through in the clutch when the team needs it the most... shattered the single season victory mark in Bronco record books with 30 wins... earned 30th victory against Christian Dyvik of San Francisco at the WCC Championships... was one of three Broncos to notch more than 20 wins... produced a 10-match win streak while going undefeated in dual play in March... among those victories was defeating Chris King of Oregon, who held an ITA national singles ranking... won nine straight singles matches during fall action, while capturing two tournament titles... one of five Bronco freshmen to advance to finals in their respective draws at the Stockcoverage.com Classic... went on to win the B flight singles title at this event... defeated Patrick Briaud of Cal to win the consolation singles draw at the Bulldog Classic, his second title in as many weeks... in doubles action, registered a 7-4 record with three different partners.
