PRINCETON, N.J.Shane Hughes scored four times and tallied five assists, and Ryan Werner added three goals for Santa Clara men's water polo, but Navy scored three times in overtime to post a 15-13 win in the finale of the Princeton Invitational.

Isaac Salinas posted four goals and Jack Waggeland, Peter Hillen and Andrew Shashin each scored twice for the Midshipmen (5-4) in Sunday's matchup.

Trevor Clark had the game-winner with 1:30 left in the first overtime.

Mac Carey's goal with 1:05 left in the first overtime snapped a nearly 10-minute scoring drought for the Broncos (1-3). That strike drew them within 14-13, but Salinas added an insurance goal with 31 seconds remaining in the second OT.

The score was never separated by more than two goals and the game was tied six times.

Hughes scored with 25 seconds left in the third quarter to give the Broncos an 11-10 lead, their first since late in the opening period.

Werner's goal with just 26 seconds gone in the fourth quarter snapped an 11-all tie. Nick Grinnell tied it for Navy less than 2 minutes later and neither team scored until Cole Jacobs put one in the net for the Midshipmen with 2:08 left in the first overtime.

Sean Tehaney had 15 saves for the Broncos who were able to score six times in 14 attempts with the man advantage. They also held Navy to 2-for-9 on the power play.
