EUGENE, Ore. – In the final tune-up before the championship stretch, Santa Clara women's rowing completed with three boats at the Covered Bridge Regatta Saturday, picking up one Petite Final victory.
The Varsity 8 boat had the best showing, winning the Petite Final with a time of 7:23.75, 32 seconds ahead of second place Chico State.
The Novice 4 won its heat at 8:56.03, over a minute and a half better than second place Lewis and Clark. In the final, the Broncos finished fourth with a time of 8:44.71, 43 seconds behind winner Oregon State.
The JV 8 finished fifth with a time of 7:43.78, 49 seconds behind the winning boat from Oregon State.
Santa Clara is off until WIRAs April 27-28 at Lake Natoma.
