Women's Soccer Signs Four to National Letters of Intent

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer has signed four to National Letters of Intent. Manaka Hayashi, Jacey Martinez, Jordyn Crosby, and Mailin Orozco will join the Broncos in 2023.

Manaka Hayashi | M | 5-4 | Futaba Future HS | Hyogo, Japan

Hayashi has won five All Japan Women's Soccer Tournaments. In 2018 and 2019 she won with the U15 team and from 2020-22 she won with the U18 squad.

She was part of the U20 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup team that was runner-up in Costa Rica. Hayashi was also on the U16 team that won the AFC U16 Women's Championship in Thailand and played with the U13 and U14 Japan National select.

In her free time, she enjoys singing, going out to ear, and watching movies and sports.

Jacey Martinez | M | 5-10 | Huntington Beach HS | Huntington Beach, Calif.

Martinez is a two-time team MVP in high school and was named the Sunset League Defensive MVP in 2022. She was First Team Sunset League in 2021. Both years she was also a scholar-athlete.

She played club for WCFC GA where she was a team captain.

Off the field, Martinez enjoys getting coffee, hiking, and going to the beach.

Jordyn Crosby | F | 5-5 | Denmark HS | Alpharetta, Ga.

Crosby was named to the Georgia All-State Team and the Forsyth All-Country Team during her time in high school.

She played at the YNT Talent Identification Center from 2019-21 while also being named ECNL All-Conference in 2020. Crosby was at the 2022 ODP National Training Center and the 2021 ODP Region Camp. She was No. 110 on the IMG Academy Top-150 list.

Away from the field, Crosby is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a member of the Beta Club.

Mailin Orozco | F | 5-2 | Notre Dame HS | Salinas, Calif.

Orozco was a member of the National Honors Society and on the honor roll during all four years of high school. She was named Santa Lucia MVP as well.

She was rated No. 8 for the class of 2023 according to Top Drawer Soccer has been to National Team training came five times. Orozco was part of the 2019 USSDA National Championship San Jose Earthquakes and was nominated for the 2019 DA Goal of the Year.

Orozco took part in both the 2021 and 2022 ECNL National Selection game and was named first team all-conference on the ECNL U16 and U17/18 teams.

She was selected to participate in the Japanese Football Association tournament in Maebashi, Japan.

Off the field, Orozco enjoys wakesurfing, hiking, and running.
