Broncos Set Commissioner's Honor Roll Record for Second Straight YearJuly 23, 2014The West Coast Conference announced its 13th annual Commissioner's Honor Roll Tuesday, and 141 Santa Clara Broncos were recognized with honors for their athletic success and academic excellence. Santa Clara had 18 student-athletes receive gold honors (3.75-4.00 GPA) and 33 student-athletes receive silver honors (3.50-3.74 GPA). The Broncos set a new record of student athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, breaking the previous mark of 133 in the 2012-13 school year.

Volleyball Welcomes Back Bronco Alum Emily Burke As An Assistant CoachJune 06, 2014Spending the past year in Switzerland both playing professionally and coaching, Santa Clara volleyball is thrilled to welcome back Bronco alum Emily Burke ’11 as an assistant coach. Playing in all but one set her senior year for the Broncos, Burke finished at SCU in the top 10 of career assists and assists average.

Bronco Sand Defeats Cal 3-2 To Close Out SeasonApril 23, 2014Santa Clara wrapped up its sand season on April 18 with a 3-2 victory at Cal. The Broncos finished their second season of sand with a 7-8 record, falling six times to top 10 teams.

Bronco Sand Finishes Season At Stanford, Cal This WeekApril 15, 2014Santa Clara’s sand team will play its final two matches this week with a 3:30 pm match on Tues., April 15 at Stanford and a 4 pm match at Cal on Fri., April 18. In its second year, Santa Clara is 6-7 this season. Stanford is 3-8 and Cal is 3-5.

Bronco Sand Travels To Sacramento This Weekend, Saint Mary's Monday; Victory Over Host-Stanford Highlights Last Weekend's PlayApril 01, 2014Santa Clara’s sand volleyball team will travel to the state capitol this weekend to play Boise State (3 pm) and host-Sacramento State (6 pm) on Sat., April 5. They will return to the Bay Area to play No. 9 Saint Mary’s on Mon., April 7 at 4 pm.

Bronco Sand Plays At Stanford Vs. Two Top Six Teams This WeekendMarch 28, 2014Santa Clara sand travels up I-280 North a few miles to play at Stanford on March 29 and 30. The Broncos will face host-Stanford, No. 3 Hawaii and No. 6 UCLA on Saturday. The teams will play the Stanford Pairs Tournament on Sunday. This week Bronco head coach Jon Wallace (JW) talked about the team’s goals in practice this week, what they are looking to accomplish this weekend and how rain could be a factor.

Bronco Sand Defeats San Jose StateMarch 13, 2014Santa Clara defeated San Jose State Wednesday 5-0 in sand volleyball. The match was considered a home match for the Broncos even though both teams train and play at Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos.

Santa Clara Sand Hosts San Jose State on WednesdayMarch 12, 2014Santa Clara's sand volleyball team will host San Jose State on Wed., March 12 at 4 pm at Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos. The match will begin about 4 pm with No. 5 and No. 4 playing each other and then about an hour later No. 3 and 6 will play. No. 1 and 2 will play each other after the matches vs. No. 3 and 6 conclude. Bronco head coach Jon Wallace (JW) chatted on Tuesday about last weekend's 1-1 record at Pacific and this week's challenge in hosting San Jose State.

Three Bronco Volleyball Players Named to WCC All-Academic TeamsDecember 03, 2013With senior All-WCC middle blocker Haley Cameron head-lining the First Team honorees list for the Broncos, the West Coast Conference has announced the 2013 WCC Volleyball All-Academic Team. Katherine Douglas and Katy Schatzman were also named to the Honorable Mention All-Academic Team.

Four Volleyball Players Receive WCC Post-Season HonorsNovember 26, 2013Four Bronco volleyball players were honored by the West Coast Conference on Tuesday. Senior Haley Cameron and junior Taylor Milton were both named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention team and freshmen Nikki Hess and Sabrina Clayton were named to the WCC All-Freshman team.

Volleyball Upsets WCC's First Place Team In Four, Defeating No. 21 BYU At Home For Second Straight YearNovember 09, 2013Putting the West Coast Conference’s top team on their heels by taking a 2-0 lead to start the match, Santa Clara held on to win 3-1 vs. No. 21 BYU on Saturday afternoon at the Leavey Center. Set scores were 27-25, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-23. It is Santa Clara’s second straight win over BYU at home in as many years.

Volleyball Battles, But Falls in Four To No. 8 San DiegoNovember 07, 2013Playing the No. 8 team in the country tough all night wasn’t enough as the Bronco volleyball team fell in four to No. 8 San Diego. Set scores were 26-24, 25-22, 18-25 and 25-12. Santa Clara is 8-14 and 3-10 in the WCC. San Diego is 20-3 and 12-2 in the WCC.

Volleyball Hosts Top Two League Teams This WeekendNovember 06, 2013The Bronco volleyball team returns home this weekend to host the top two teams in the West Coast Conference. Santa Clara hosts No. 8 San Diego on Thurs., Nov. 7 at 6 pm. No. 21 BYU comes to the Leavey Center on Sat., Nov. 9 at 1 pm. The BYU match will be televised nationally on The.Wtv channel online. Volleyball Wins At Portland In FourNovember 02, 2013The Bronco volleyball team got back in the winning column on Saturday by beating winless Portland 3-1. Set scores were 25-13, 25-18, 26-28 and 25-17. Santa Clara is 8-13 and 3-9 in the WCC. Portland is 0-22 and 0-13. It is Santa Clara’s first win since its 3-1 vs. Portland on Oct. 3. The Broncos return home to host No. 8 San Diego on Thurs., Nov. 7 at 6 pm and then No. 21 BYU on Sat., Nov. 9 at 1 pm.

Volleyball Falls In Long Battle At USFOctober 25, 2013In a close battle all night, San Francisco topped Santa Clara Friday night on the Hilltop 3-1. Set scores were 22-25, 19-25, 25-22 and 17-25. Santa Clara is 7-12 and 2-8 in the WCC. USF is 10-10 and 6-4 in the WCC.

Volleyball Rallies, But Drops Match in Five To Saint Mary'sOctober 19, 2013Down 2-1 sets to one to rival Saint Mary's, the Broncos rallied to push the match to five sets on Saturday afternoon but despite having two set points, SCU couldn't hold on and lost in the fifth set 17-15. Set scores were 16-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-15 and 15-17.
