NORTH YORK, Ontario — Santa Clara volleyball commit Kat Goergiadis has received one of the most prestigious accolades for a youth volleyball player in Ontario. She was given the Evelyn Holick award by Ontario Volleyball on Thursday.

"This award is presented annually to a female youth division athlete in recognition of outstanding commitment, dedication to the sport of volleyball, leadership, sportsmanship and athletic ability, all characteristics of the award's namesake," per the official Ontario Volleyball press release. Georgiadis, a libero who will join the Broncos as a true freshman in 2020-21, is "known for her relentless energy and passion on and off of the court ... [and] has left her stamp not only on the volleyball court but also on the community."
